Williams to play at NC State Games

Williams to play at NC State Games

Northern Nash midfielder Kimberly Williams has been selected to play in the 2008 NC State Games to be held at UNC-Greensboro, June 21-22. Williams was selected following her sophomore year as well, but was unable to participate due to an ACL injury sustained in a late season matchup against rival Rocky Mount.

Williams is a leader and facilitator for a strong Northern Nash women's side which finished second behind Wilson Fike in the NEW 6 Conference in 2008 and reached the second round of the state 3-A playoffs.  Following the State Games, she will return for her senior year with hopes of a successful season and a deep playoff run in 2009.

Williams is among several Northern Nash athletes participating in the 2008 State Games, including fellow soccer player Chris Mizelle and baseball pitcher Tyler Joyner.
