Mizelle to play in NC State Games

Northern Nash captain Chris Mizelle has been selected and will play for the North region at the North Carolina State Games in Greensboro, North Carolina.  The games will be held June 21-22 at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro campus.  The North side has been victorious the past two years and hopes to continue its success this summer.  The team is coached by Todd Schuler of Panther Creek High, Tim Healy of Cardinal Gibbons, and Deran Coe of Franklinton.

Mizelle is a 2-time NEW 6 All-Conference and Rocky Mount Telegram All-Area player.  He was a central defender of a Northern Nash team that finished the 2007 season having beaten state-runner up Wilson Fike twice.  The Northern Nash team returns ten of eleven starters from the 2007 season and look to have a deep run in the state 3-A playoffs.
